Senior Software Developers
Comparison Technologies have several roles withinour Engineering Team and are looking for the best in Senior Software Developers to add their knowledge and expertise to the Team. You will work on our comparison products and data insight tools that power both our own brand activity and large partners like Compare The Market.
We’re Comparison Technologies, a business specialised in finding the best deals available in energy, broadband, mobile, digital TV and breakdown insurance. We take in industry data and provide slick customer experiences to help people choose the right home services for them. We also help partner organisations do this for their own customers. We’re pretty good at it but we won’t stop until we’re the best.
You’ll pitch in on designing and building various parts of the ecosystem, securing and scaling them. The markets we work within are constantly changing and our products cover a variety of home services including Energy, Broadband, Mobile Phones and more. Some of our services are focussed on delivering valuable insights to our partners, others are focussed on the customer’s journey and how we can save people money on their utility bills. You will have the chance to work alongside the Product team on both greenfield projects and to re-engineering our legacy systems for a modern technology stack.Key Responsibilities are as follows.
= Work within the Engineering Team to design, build and maintain business critical applications
= Help shape the code and architecture of both greenfield and legacy products and platforms
= Identify areas of improvement and build upon best practices
= Modernisation of legacy infrastructure and applications
= Produce well-structured and test-driven code across multiple projects
= Mentoring and supporting members of the Engineering team
= Ensuring security best practices are maintained and improved upon
Although you’ll have your mission you should enjoy the challenge of helping others work towards theirs. Swap some war stories, share some options, look over a pull request and be there to help when things go wrong. You’ll also ideally have experience in the following
= Building applications for deployment to cloud environments (AWS)
= Building high traffic, scalable, secure and resilient APIs and Web Services
= Experience with front end technologies, e.g. React
= Relational and NoSQL Database Design and Optimisation
= Expert level knowledge of Git.
= Infrastructure-As-Code tools. CloudFormation / Terraform
= Working knowledge of CI and CD Pipelines. TeamCity / Bitbucket / Jenkins
= Working knowledge of containerisation technologies, e.g. Dock
= Understanding of modern architecture design best

Senior Product Manager (Andover or London based)

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our Product Team, reporting to our Head of Product. The role will focus on Using a customer-centric data-driven approach to develop great products collaboratively across Comparison Tech.
The central Product function is relatively new to the business and we continue to mature, this role would be expected to support the maturation of this function and evangelize Product across the business
