Here at Comparison Tech, 2025 has been a year of taking on new challenges and pushing ourselves beyond what we thought possible. That spirit of determination was on full display earlier this month when our very own Dani tackled the Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge.
The 50km ultra marathon – a true test of endurance and grit – saw Dani and her husband run through the challenging trail of the Kent Downs. Despite the terrain being tougher than expected, they powered through, driven by a cause close to their hearts.
Once again, the opportunity came through our long-standing partnership with Demelza, the incredible charity that supports children and young people with serious or life-limiting conditions, along with their families.
Inspired by Demelza’s work, Dani set out with a fundraising goal of £500 – and thanks to generous donations and sheer commitment, she raised a fantastic £645.
Reflecting on the experience, Dani shared:
“This challenge was a mental battle just as much as a physical one. The rolling hills, winding trails, and unexpected twists in the path were tougher than I ever could have imagined.
I completed the challenge with my husband who pushed me through every time a feeling of doubt entered my mind. Seeing our two little boys cheering us on at the finish line gave me the most overwhelming sense of pride.
I hope that the money raised can help Demelza in some way, with the incredible work they do.”
Dani’s story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when we step outside of our comfort zones and the difference we can make when we do it in support of something meaningful.
We’re incredibly proud of Dani, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported her fundraising effort. The money raised will go directly toward helping Demelza continue their vital care work in our community.
